Master class for NCSA string students [sound recording]. 1999.

Master class at the North Carolina School of the Arts School of Music conducted by violinist Yehudi Menuhin. Includes a musical performance by NCSA students. Class segments of recording consist of a question-and-answer session; topics for discussion include: Mr. Menuhin's description of what music means to him now as opposed to when he was younger ; his training ; career possibilities for musicians other than performing ; and spirituality vs. sensuality of music. Mr. Menuhin also discusses his school in London ; its history, routine, and its role in the training of young violinists. A description of the routine of NCSA's music students is given by an unidentified man ; the curricula and demographics of the two schools are compared. Recording ends abruptly.

An American violinist, Yehudi Menuhin was engaged in 1947 by Two Continent Pictures to appear and play in a projected moving picture named Delirium and an associated short movie; and later for a series of short films.
